Accessories for all babies!

Growing up on a farm, one of the sure signs of spring was baby animals. While home visiting my parents a couple of weeks ago, we visited their neighbours who were calving. Look how cute this little one is:


This little calf had earmuff on to protect it's ears from being frozen by the cold! Even baby cattle need accessories, I guess! This calf was just a couple of hours old.

All mothers love their babies and animals are no exception. You can clearly see how they take such good care of them. In fact, you have to pay attention when you are around them because some mother cows are so protective of their calves that it can be dangerous to go to close! Anyway, I sure enjoyed seeing the little calves playing in the straw with each other. To me this is a memory of spring of mine growing up!
