Tough Guy

Brett wiped out on the stairs at the rink in Warburg Saturday while "watching" Jace's hockey game. He ended up cutting his eye pretty bad:

Russ took him too the Leduc hospital and they were able to glue it, rather than stitching him up. Uncle Calvin told him "chicks dig scars"! Not sure were he got that idea?

Kayla

Crystal has posted more photos of Kayla's photoshoot on her blog. I love this one:

She has so many more expressions everyday; it is amazing how fast she is changing! Anyone need some pictures taken send her an email. She'd love to take them and get some practice too.

My Finds

I visited this store this week and got a few neat finds. The fabric they have in the store is amazing! I really enjoyed looking around. I know a fair bit about scrapbooking, but quilting, it seems is a whole wide world, as well. Check out what I got:

I found this ribbon. Ever since I have been making Q"D" BELTs by sweet-e-clips, I have not made any adult belts. When I saw this ribbon, I could not resist it. I think it will make a really cute summer belt, to go with jean shorts, or anything. I will try to remember to post a picture, when I start wearing it.

Amy Butler has always designed craft and fashion products I like. Her fabrics are amazing. I had never seen this book before and it is beautiful. You can read about it here. I am excited to try some of the projects!

Lastly, I got this pattern. These diaper covers are adorable and they look really easy to make! I love the names of them: The Princess, The Luau Flower, The Perfect "Pear", The Truffle Ruffle, and The Rag Rose. I bet they would be super cute for my niece, this summer. I can't wait to give one of them a try!

Wow, it looks like I am going to be busy!

Calvin and I are at the Oilers game tonight. We haven't gone to a game together this year, so it's fun. Usually we go to at least one, per year. Number 94, Ryan Smyth, is my favorite player. Hockey aside, I think he is a very community minded individual, which I respect. This is not really a sports blog, but it is funny how hockey still relates to my little business. For example, as we speak, my oldest nephew's Eberle jersey is hanging in my office, waiting to be mended and the number of requests I have had for hockey stuff, has been huge. The 50 / 50 at tonight's game is $ 48,000. Can you imagine what I could do with sweet-e-clips with that money? Ok, back to the game. Talk tomorrow! C:)

Pictures!

Please take a moment to look at these new pictures. They are taken by my dear friend Crystal and are of my sister-in-law and niece.  Crystal is honing her natural talents in the area of photography and the results are extremely impressive! These photos were taken on Friday, when we had a little photo session:

This was the very first pic she took of my niece on Friday, when she was testing the light! This is how gifted she is! The second one is of my sister-in-law and niece:

You can see more of Crystal's photos on her blog. She is currently accepting bookings, so email her if you are interested in beautiful photos!

PS Is my niece not the sweetest little girl you have ever seen? I may be a bit biased (hehehe)!
